Madatapa is one of the highest lakes in the region, sitting at over 2,100 meters. The shallow waters freeze solid for a significant portion of the year. It’s a remote, harsh environment that offers a truly wild experience.

- Short Season: The fishing season is very short due to the high elevation and prolonged ice cover. Mid-summer is the only reliable window.

Access
Access requires traveling via dirt roads that are often impassable in winter and early spring. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended.
