About Saghamo Lake
Saghamo Lake lies just a short distance from the larger Paravani Lake. Though smaller and shallower, it shares many of the same characteristics of the high Javakheti plateau lakes. It is popular for its trout population and scenic surroundings.
Fishing Tips
- Trout Fishing: Small spinners, spoons, and fly fishing are effective for the local trout, particularly near drop-offs or where small streams enter the lake.
- Wind: The Javakheti plateau is notoriously windy; plan your casting and gear accordingly.
Access
The lake is located directly adjacent to the main paved road connecting Ninotsminda and Tsalka, making it very easy to access. You can often park close to the shoreline.
