About Kakhisi Lake
Kakhisi Lake is a stunning, hidden gem situated high on the Trialeti Range. Surrounded by dense pine and spruce forests, it offers a pristine alpine environment. The cold, clear waters hold a healthy population of wild brown trout.
Fishing Tips
- Stealth: The water is very clear, so camouflage clothing and a stealthy approach to the bank are necessary to avoid spooking the trout.
- Small Lures: Small spinners (size 0-1) and dry flies work very well in the summer months.
Access
Access is notoriously difficult. The dirt road from Dabadzveli or Chobiskhevi is extremely rugged and requires a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle or a long, demanding hike.
