About Abuli Lake
Abuli Lake sits at nearly 2,200 meters on the volcanic Javakheti plateau, in the shadow of Mount Abuli. It is a harsh, alpine environment where the water is frozen for over half the year.
Fishing Tips
- Short Season: The fishing season is extremely short, essentially limited to July and August.
- Basic Tactics: The lake is very shallow, so simple float fishing is the most practical method.
Access
Access requires a capable 4x4 vehicle to navigate the rough, rocky tracks of the plateau. The area is very exposed to wind and sudden weather changes.
