Hidden high in the Egrisi Range, the Tobavarchkhili Lakes are some of the most remote and beautiful bodies of water in Georgia. Reaching them is a challenge requiring physical fitness and preparation.
Fishing Tips
- The water is crystal clear and freezing cold; fish are easily spooked.
- Use very light tackle and natural-looking flies or tiny spinners.
- Fishing is secondary to the incredible hiking experience, but catching a native trout here is a memorable achievement.
