About Dali Reservoir
Dali Mountain Reservoir is located on the Iori River in the remote, arid landscape of southeastern Georgia, near the Vashlovani Protected Areas. It is one of the wildest and least pressured fishing locations in the country.
Fishing Tips
- Expedition Preparation: Fishing here requires full expedition preparation. You must bring all water, food, and supplies.
- Target Species: It is known for strong, wild river-strain carp and the potential for large catfish in the deeper sections of the old riverbed.
Access
Access is extremely difficult, requiring a serious off-road vehicle and good navigation skills. The dirt tracks from Dedoplistskaro are long, dusty in summer, and utterly impassable when wet. You may also need border police permits depending on which shore you intend to access.
